Come on out and join us on the beautiful flowing gravel of the Michigan Upper Peninsula at the 2023 CUP Hardwood Rally on June 17! This year the CUP Hardwood Rally has moved up to June to make way for the all new CUP Iron Mule Rally in August. Also new this year, reconnaissance!
Your senior volunteer committee is working hard to put the finishing touches together. Check out the Supplemental Regulations and get your entry in now in your NASA Rally Sport account!
Hardwood Rally is a Rallysprint style event with 76.4 stage miles and only 8.8 miles of transits. The road surface is nicely crowned gravel, set in rolling hills with a nice mix of open and tighter sections. In most places the surface is smooth enough to attack even with modest suspension upgrades. Attack carefully however, as nearly all of the stages are tree lined with one exception being when the road takes a few corners in the middle of a small lake! Being a Rallysprint style event means there is time at the turnarounds to hang out for a few minutes with your fellow rally crews, take a few pictures, or make minor repairs and adjustments to the car. Bring a sharp set of rally tires, your best Recce game, and all your driver skill for this third round of the Atlantic Rally Cup!
As with all events, there are plenty of volunteer opportunities. Create an account at the link above and sign up to help out! Whether you're not yet racing, not still racing, or just enjoy the great rewards of helping out at race weekend - It's always a great time and still one of my favorite ways to plug into the rally community.
NASA Rally Sport is North American Amateur Rally Racing! We are here to help you be successful. Come on out and share a great weekend with us!
